What is it with Korean movies? This is like the 5th one I’ve watched that puts Hollywood to shame. Spring, Summer, Winter, Fall… and Spring, Four Iron, Old Boy, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance and now,  Lady Vengeance… wow. I mean, how do they come up with such great writers, directors and cinematographers over there?

The truth is, Lady Vengeance was my least favorite out of the Korean films I’ve recently seen… but it is better than most films here in the US. I mean, the imagery is amazing:

Fraud would pee his pants over the nuances of this vengeance dream the protagonist has. The film left me feeling like I had just viewed a piece of art… as did all of the recent Korean movies I’ve seen. If you have a chance, at least see Four Iron and if you liked Kill Bill… see Old Boy.
