I’m sure Marti won’t be offended when I point to the HBS/separatist clique as a hugely American, white, privileged former male movement. These people give no respect to those before them who lived for decades as women with NO recourse to hormones, surgery or even a sympathetic ear. The very women who kicked off at Stonewall and Compton’s Cafeteria in the ’60′s because they were sick of being abused and beaten and wanted others who came later to be safe. The women who were Black and poor and who had male genitalia. The women who would still fight for YOUR rights and the rights of ALL transsexual people today, if they were still alive.
